Det var to gode dage med netværk, viden og nye samarbejder mellem Grønlandske iværksætter virksomheder og danske og islandske firmaer. Vi er stolte af de positive tilmeldinger vi har fået efter messen, for et første arrangement er det jo godt begyndt. Vi tror på at et forum hvor iværksættere og etablerede virksomheder samles igen og igen, kan noget sammen, som kan føre til vækst. Og Corporate Entrepreneurship er jo en af broerne mellem de ny og etableret, som det også blev præsenteret i en af workshopsne.

Wool #1: The history of Faroese wool
If you have ever visited The Faroe Islands, you know that sheep outnumber humans on the beautiful islands located in the North Atlantic.
The islands are named after the sheep, the Viking settlers found when they first sailed there, the name deriving from ‘Fær’ an old Norse word for sheep.

NUKIGA Community is very proud to present our new partnership with the Icelandic Arctic Cooperation Network (IACN). We see this partnership as a great way to expand our own network as well as a way to further strengthen the business and start-up community in the Arctic region.

Don’t be afraid of the hardship, be curious and transform your insecurities into your motivation and grow with the task.
Taming the sea
Heini Winthereig-Rasmussen from RÁK Ocean Engineering on The Faroe Islands spends his time analysing hydrodynamics, and more specially how the currents affect fish farming sea cages.
Greenlandic dialects
There are roughly four different dialects in Greenland – the Western Greenlandic (the main dialect), Southern Greenlandic, Northern Greenlandic and the Eastern Greenlandic.
Even though there are only about 56,562 people living in Greenland, because of the vast distances, dialects even differ from one town to another. Sometimes a completely different word is used for the same sentence, and other times the same word is used but pernounced differently.
