Milans mom, Katrine: Milan goes to Mathias Storch School here in Ilulissat, where he attends the special class. He has cerebral palsy, but that doesn’t stop him from doing the things he likes.
He wants to be a firefighter when he grows up, so he has written a big school assignment about the fire department. He visited the fire station here in Ilulissat where he spoke to the firefighters, taking pictures of their cars, and trying on a uniform. He finds everything the fire department does exciting.
Milan and his little sister Moni are always together. Hardly an hour can go by without them being together. She really likes to be outside, but Milan gets tired very quickly and needs to relax a bit.
He spends a lot of time doing handcrafts, such as beads and crocheting. And he is always happy to help me in the kitchen or cook for us by himself. He never gets bored.
